Agreement
Unfold is a Mac app developed by flew llc. Installing or using it means you accept these terms.
If you do not agree, do not install or use the app. These terms cover the app, its extensions, and updates. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information.
Your license
Buying Unfold gives you a license to use the app. A one-time purchase includes future major versions we release, with no subscription.
A direct license covers up to five Macs you own or control, for personal or commercial use. Deactivating a Mac frees its slot. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your purchased license.
Direct licenses are managed through your flew account. After purchase, we provide instructions to activate the app or claim a gift. Keep your account and private claim links secure.
Mac App Store purchases follow Apple's usage rules and are managed through your Apple Account.
Trial and internet access
The direct download includes a 7 day free trial. No payment card is needed. The Mac App Store version does not include a trial.
The direct download needs internet access to start a trial, activate the app, periodically confirm your license, and download updates. A security check may be required to start a trial.
Payments and refunds
Stripe processes payments for purchases from flew. In some regions, Polar sells the app to you and handles payment and applicable taxes.
Checkout shows who you are buying from, the currency, and the total before you pay. Prices include applicable taxes. Purchases through Polar are also subject to Polar's buyer terms.
Please use the free trial before purchasing. We generally do not offer refunds for change of mind, except where required by law. This does not limit your rights if the app is faulty or does not match its description, or any other consumer rights you have under applicable law. Contact us if you have a purchase problem.
Apple handles Mac App Store payments and refund requests through its own refund process.
Restrictions and ownership
flew llc retains ownership of Unfold, including its code, design, and name. Your license does not transfer those rights.
- Do not sell, rent, redistribute, or share the app or your license, except where an applicable license or the law allows it.
- Do not bypass licensing, trial restrictions, or device limits.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app, except where the law permits it.
Compatibility and responsibility
Changes to macOS may affect how Unfold works. We cannot guarantee that every file will preview correctly or that the app will work with every future macOS version.
The app is provided as is, without additional warranties, to the extent the law allows. Including future updates in your purchase does not promise that we will develop the app indefinitely.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by using, or being unable to use, the app. Any liability we do have is limited to the amount you paid for your license. These limits do not exclude any responsibility or consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded.
Suspension and changes
We may suspend or revoke a license for fraud, unauthorized license sharing, or other material breaches of these terms. Contact us if you believe this was a mistake.
We will post updated terms with a new effective date. For significant changes, we will provide notice through our website, the app, or email before they take effect, unless an urgent legal or security reason requires otherwise.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Alabama, United States. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
