Privacy Policy

The only information we store is what licensing and trials require: an app-generated device ID, your device name, and trial or license status. The device ID is not derived from hardware serial numbers, not linked to your Apple ID, and not used for tracking across apps. This policy covers the direct download unless stated otherwise.

Some information reaches us only because you send it. If you contact us for support, we receive what you choose to share, such as your name and email address.

We do not store card details. Polar may collect the billing information it needs to process your purchase, under its own privacy policy.

We do not sell personal information, and it is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Device identifiers and license information are kept as long as needed to maintain license validity and prevent abuse. Support correspondence is kept only as long as there is a business or legal reason to.

That version generates and stores no device identifier, runs no trial or license validation through our systems, and uses neither Polar nor an external updater such as Sparkle.

Apple may collect and process information as part of App Store purchases and downloads, under its own privacy policies and outside our control. Unfold still runs locally and still collects no file contents or usage data.

If our data practices change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above.
